Oliver Raw is a self-taught artist and illustrator from England.
Originally working as an editorial illustrator, his work has appeared in publications around the world. After the burnout of meeting deadlines, he now prefers to develop work at his own pace and to his own standard.

Taking influence from traditional Japanese woodblock prints and mid-century design, he typically uses a combination of multiblock and reduction printmaking to allow for overlapping colours and forms. His work is inspired by his native Yorkshire and his years travelling in Asia.

About linocut printmaking:

Linocut printmaking is a relief printing technique in which an image is carved into a sheet of linoleum, inked on the raised surface, and pressed onto paper to create a print.

An edition can typically take several weeks from design to completion, and often involves multiple layers of ink. Every print is a one-of-a-kind piece, and the nature of the reduction technique means after the edition is complete, no further prints can be produced.
No two prints are 100% identical and each can be said to be "original".

They are individually signed and numbered and ship from Sweden.
